If your plan is not listed, we will be unable to file a claim on your behalf. However, we can provide you with an itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursements. Please be aware that with any insurance plans, there may be deductibles and copayments for which you could be responsible.

LASIK (Laser Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is the fastest and most popular vision procedure available to correct nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism. The LASIK procedure works by reshaping the cornea to allow light to pass onto the retina at the appropriate place to focus clearly. A thin flap is created on the surface area of the cornea. Once the flap has been lifted, the cool, ultraviolet laser beam reshapes the underlying corneal tissue. The flap is then replaced and adheres without the need for sutures. LASIK is a painless, outpatient procedure that is performed in approximately 15 minutes for both eyes. Most patients are back to their normal activities the next day.

A current eye examination is vital to determine whether LASIK is right for you. For those patients that do not qualify for LASIK, there are alternative procedures such as PRK (Flapless LASIK), Visian ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens), refractive lens exchange, or corneal inlay (Kamra inlay) that can be considered.
